The point being , they just want somebody to say they are in possession ..they dont care who it is , Its yours !
Good thing to keep in mind anywhere in Sth East Asia , walking down the street in Patong after 20 beers , or catching a plane .
I use the Thai example because I know it best , but even if you speak fluent Thai very very difficult to explain your circumstance when something goes wrong . You are " Farang " this never changes , even after 20 years .
Imagine with little knowledge of the language ? wow .. dont test it .
