    thanks larry,

'tis nice to know someone remembering ole' 40 up here lol.

feel i get on far too early downunder. not so much the early bird catches the worm but more like the early worm gets trodden on 'dead like' before the bird gets up !

often feels like i get missed. not missed in as much as not seen for a while but just missed. completely missed. anyway, i'm alive and kicking. alive, well not too much really, just the odd kick.

today, i was smacked in the heart when i heard about iloilo in the phillipines. myself and mrs 40 met some very nice people there back in march. we stayed with carmen in her wonderful house alongside the iloilo river. this morning i sent an email to two friends for news. 40's been very busy since he got back to jolly spain and has a pile of photos and other things to sort out for the familes and kids he and mrs 40 met in and around iloilo. when news such as the typhoon hits and you know the area and some people you befriended, it hits hard home, believe me. it's not ('oh look at that, a tornado, people dead, turn over page stuff !)

will someone send me a good news email, a good news letter or even a good news phone call cos the past days, even months, far too many things seem to be lousy lousy bad bad news. not so much the mkts but general life things. +ve is 40 but sometimes it's very much uphill to be +ve.

now as i need cheering up a bit, in fact one BIG bit, it might not be such a bad idea to remember all those people in iloilo where 40 was with mrs40 just 3 mths ago.
so here, dedicated to carmen, daisy, amy and her 5 brothers/sisters a very special to amy's mum, all the lovely poor but happy people in the ethnic villages that made us so welcome and to so many others, too many to mention here but not forgotton,

may we all see a brighter future for iloilo, the neighbouring towns, villages and islands.

first appropriate music then the other link for some news from the 'nation' newspaper.

    BRIGHT EYES,
