I was in a hurry when I wrote my previous post, so I left somethings in the air - most importantly, what I had in mind when I wrote, ". . . then there is no practical limit to CCP's opportunities to grow for years to come."

The US PDL market is so large that in itself it can offer expansion opportunities for CCP business, which is stylistically different to its major competitors in a way that makes CCP attractive to the institutions that sell PDLs. In addition, being successful there and in Aus/NZ, would open up opportunities in other English-speaking countries like Canada, Ireland and the UK. Being in the USA, which has a large Spanish-Speaking population, would allow CCP to hire such people to service its US business better, and thus acquire a core competence to apply to Spanish-speaking countries.  And yet further, CCP could take its unsecured-loan business to the USA, and anywhere else where it may establish a PDL business.

The other factors that I could have mentioned are ones I have covered before, so I did not repeat them. Anybody who is interested could used HC's Advanced Search and to see what I have written in the past. In some of these posts I have mentioned that as "profits" can be so easily fabricated in this business, the ethics and intentions management in CCP and its competitors is extremely important, but although I am on safe ground extolling  good ethics, I am loath to comment on the dearth of ethics, or the misalignment of managers' intentions with the best long-term interest of shareholders. If the ratio of PDL Amortisation to Collections is too low, then ask yourself why this is the case - it may be a matter of managements agenda.
