    @albatross - I don’t think either of those things. PLS will always attract traders/shorters as its a large, volatile mining stock with a wide open register.

    Since the last qrtly update, 5 of the 7 analysts that participate in Thomson-Reuters consensus have downgraded their 12mnth target prices for PLS and Li prices appear to have fallen (based on Ann’s from other miners). There’s a huge amount of uncertainty about near term and long term Spod prices so of course widely varying views. And over the medium term, the stock has been in decline for past 18 months ... So no surprise that technical shorters as well as fundamental shorters have been attracted to the stock.

    However, some comfort for long holders that Consensus is still $1.02 despite the majority downgrading as per above. So DYOR and either buy or sell based on how high you think the Spod price will be medium term and how well you think KB and co. will iron out the issues with Stage 1 and ramp up stage 2.

    IMO those who are placing all your hopes on a possible sale/stage 3 or a possible lucrative chem conversion plant are speculating - not investing.
