I noticed on previous days a trend for buyers to accumulate bids then to be cancelled by a seller that was keen to dump shares between $1.95 to $2. Maybe 5 to 10 thousand share bundles were disposed. However, today it started that way with parcel disposed a bit under $1.95, by about 230 to 3pm the impatience got worse and much larger chunks were offloaded in two big bundles. My guess it seems to be one larger shareholder gradually reducing their holding over the past week or two. Today might have been the last wave of offloading. Seems to be like a final purge. Might be interesting to see in the final report which top 20 shareholders have been holding, buying or selling. I suspect it is someone in the top 20, but only my guess.

It’s good to see such selling because this person or people might be holding tax losses on poor loss producing stocks so good growth stocks like this are sometimes sold to offset the bad investments this time of year. Despite the selling, there seems to be enough consistent buying interest with a range of modest buy orders to keep this person happily selling. Personally I find some of the poorest decisions are made just to minimise tax. Selling a fast growing asset like aef is crazy. I’m assuming way too much, but if I had a tax loss I would sell other stocks that grew much more modestly and not something appreciating at 50% p.a. It’s just poor maths.

My fair price is the low $2 range but should drive upwards to $2.30-$2.50 later this year. Great buying opportunity if the person wants to sell. Many people are bidding in the $1.90 to $2 range. Let’s see if it continues tomorrow.
