I believe FrankMe is closer to the mark in the situation of AVZ. The DRC system is Civil Law, not Common Law. By saying that, I don't in any way mean it has the same laws as China. It's very complicated and DRC law is a very unique beast. Labeling it Civil Law is too simplistic, but will have to do for this forum. For AVZ, operating in the DRC with Chinese partners, FrankMe is wise to point out that Australian interpretations of agreements may differ markedly. Its really naive to say 'nice in theory but in the real world'. Sorry but your 'real world' is just that... Yours. The mine is in the DRC, not Australia, and most likely will ship their product to China. AIMHO. I don't mean to offend.
