Sydney - Wednesday - June 25: (RWE Australian Business News) - Conquest Mining Ltd (ASX:CQT) today announced recent exploration drilling at the Silver Hill Deposit had intersected significant high-grade extensions on north side of the deposit, and also south of the Area 39 Silver Zone. Diamond drillhole HC08RCD391, located at the northern edge of the Silver Hill deposit, intersected a 20m zone assaying at 8.49g/t gold, 94g/t silver and 2.3pc copper, boosting the depth extent of high-grade mineralisation. The zone is equivalent to 15g/t gold at current prices, and included a high-grade zone of 5m at 26.1g/t gold, 192g/t silver and 5.34pc copper. Diamond drillholes HC08RCD393 and 394 intersected, respectively, 16m at 291g/t silver and 10m at 1.69g/t gold and 474g/t silver, to substantially extend high-grade mineralisation south of the previous high-grade silver mineralisation intersected at Area 39.

The company engaged specialist consultant Dr Roger Taylor to investigate structural controls via lineament analysis in the Mt Carlton-Silver Hill region. This region falls within Conquest's exclusion zone and is not subject to the existing farmin-JV agreement with Gold Fields. Dr Taylor's report concludes: * the drilling to date suggests a large-scale zoned mineral system with Silver Hill as a distal portion of a 5-10km scale hydrothermal cell central around Mt Carlton; * the most favourable zones are within a 5-7km corridor zone extending ENE from the central Mt Carlton prospect; and * in particular, the area between the Mt Carlton deposit and Silver Hill deposit offers excellent prospects for new and/or extended discoveries.
