I thought the resource for infrastructure deal was quite clear, Huagang received a world class large high grade copper & cobalt mine, DRC got USD$3b fundings for infrastructure. Huagang’s copper & cobalt mine has about 8 million tons copper and 500kt cobalt which China was well sought after and they got it.
It’s technically FREE for AVZ. That’s what I meant.
The deal was signed between Chinese consortium (mainly two Chinese state owned enterprises: China Railway Group and China Power Construction Group) and DRC government. So I guess it’s up to DRC government’s discretion to point where the future infrastructure to be built.
All imo.
