If you are trader means nothing if you are an investor you cant claim it or i suppose you could try. You are not supposed to to sell and buy back for the purpose of tax loss selling.
Everyone does but its better if you leave a week in between.
But you would be silly to do that when a DOJI is thrown on the support line.
