Actually the ability of Iran to launch an attack on Israel is open for conjecture because to do so Iranian air or ground forces would need to cross either Saudi Arabia, Iraq or Turkey.
None of those countries are friendly with Iran and would not allow it, though some missiles might get through anyway.
So logistically I can not see how Iran could mount an effective attack unless they can do so using third parties such as Syria and/or the Palestinians and that would be difficult to arrange.
What Iran might do is take their revenge on the oil tankers in the Persian Gulf which would inflict very serious economic injury on the western world and others. Might even trigger a world depression.
