    Hi ClarkKent,

I guess seeing is believing, but it takes time to determine the correct periods for calculations and charting. Anyway, here are the results of the computations charted for you to see...and hopefully "believe" that cycles do repeat themselves somewhat and are trackable, at least in stocks:-( I guess I won't be charting future cycles again, if you can accept it as a matter of savings in time, when I post.

CVI operates on a major cycle of a period of 195 days which when computed into the Fourier Transform trend will show you the movements of the minor cycles oscillating below and above the 0 degree horizontal line. Once the cycle trend achieves zero degrees at the crossing as marked in pink circles, the cycle is at a turning point ie bottomed.

Each time this happens, at least in the last 4 signals, prices improved immediately- the shortest for 3 days and the longest for 10 days.

You can see we have crossed the zero degrees yesterday Thursday to confirm we have reached a minor cycle bottom. So we do have a good reason to expect better prices if it follows "tradition"!

The major long term cycle is as indicated by the smoothened cycle as shown in the chart- we are at the threshold of the major bottom, if we are not already in it.

Phew! A lot said...and this ain't a lesson in technicals..but you asked for it! Hope it helps.
