This is Mr Lincoln Augustus, first second cousin of Holymagiman.

After having read and re-read the merger agreement that Sapex has made with Linc, and after considering everything that has been said about this exciting merger with Linc, it is my humble opinion that the honourable people on the Board of Sapex have used their unique and exquisite negotiating skills to get us poor Sapex share-holders the best conceivable deal that could have ever been possible possible with the Linc Board.

By Jove, you would not believe the way they have steam-rollered that Linc Board and beaten them to a pulp and sold them the miserable assets of Sapex for the princely sum of 72 cents a share. Just imagine that, 72 cents...not one cent less, and you had all better be counting your blessings for having such a sharp Sapex Board negotiating on your behalf who have procured you this fantastic price.

I feel that those poor Origin shareholders are so so unlucky that they did not have this fantastic Sapex Board acting on their behalf in the negotiations with British Gas....one can only ponder the price this magnificent Sapex Board would have got those Origin shareholders if they had managed to represent Origin in a merger negotiation with British Gas!!! My heart bleeds for the Origin shareholders, but everyone cannot be so lucky as to be represented by such a fine board as this Sapex Board.

So, to reiterate, I am of the opinion that the Sapex Board members are all honourable men with no axes to grind, who have no expectations of possible favours to be bestowed upon them now or in the future for any decisions that they may make, and I am of the opinion that any decisions they made in this merger deal were made wholly and solely with the express intention of getting the best for Sapex shareholders at all times.

However, I would like to ask one small favour of this honourable Sapex Board, a favour so small that I am sure they will grant in a twinkle of an eye without batting an eyelid.

I wonder if they would be so good as to release the results of the seismic surveys for oil exploration in Sapex PELs that we have all been informed have already been completed, so that we can see if there are any remote prospects of striking oil in Sapex's PELs..

I also hope that these results will be released before the meeting to ratify the merger with Linc that this honourable and wonderful Sapex Board has so amazingly negotiated, so that us small shareholders can rest fully assured that we are not giving away a company that could possibly have slightly more assets than we realise. Maybe we could get 73 cents or 74 cents or even 75 cents a share if the seismic survey results were good, and I am sure if that was the case, the honourable Board would want us to get that for sure.

I feel confident that since we have such an honourable group of people on the Sapex Board, with such high levels of trustworthiness and integrity, that we can rest confident that if there was any news of any importance that could materially affect the share price of Sapex, then that news will be delivered to us before the meeting, promptly and effectively, so that we can vote in the knowledge that we know everything that there is to know about Sapex's oil exploration potential, about Sapex's coalbed methane potential and about Sapex's UCG potential.

It is often the fact that in a takeover, the taken over company share price goes up and the predators share price tends to come down. However, one should not read too much into the fact that Linc share prices went up and Sapex share price went down after the well negotiated merger was announced, as this deal is not really a takeover but rather a well negotiated merger.

It is very hard to explain the movements of the Sapex share price and Linc share price after the well negotiated merger was announced......there are so many reasons that a person could conjecture. For example, the price changes could well have been because of the earthquake in China causing after-ramifications in distant places due to the price of Jamaicca Numba One going up due to stagflationary pressures in the playing fields of Eton-on-Thyme....that is what my friend Benjie thinks has happened, and he too is of the opinion that the Sapex Board are very honourable and trustworthy people.

So I hope that the honourable people who make up the Sapex Board will make sure that we all get to see the results of this seismic survey report before we vote on this merger that the honourable Sapex Board has so kindly told us is very good for all of us and which has got us 72 cents a share. As Kylie Minogue said, I should be so lucky.
    Super stuff all round, what...!!
