I'm not sure why you're hanging your hat on what the company is saying. 100ktpa LCE within 5 years? Show me how that's even plausible without saying something along the lines of, "Because the company said so!".. This is a company that also made a statement about shipping only a few weeks ago and it now looks like they can't even predict what they are going to do in the space of a few weeks let alone 5 year's time
You've got me wrong. I've said the EV revolution will happen. The problem is that most on here think that everyone is suddenly going to buy an electric car tomorrow or next year. That isn't going to happen. It's going to happen over a 20+ year period. So demand will increase for lithium over time, but at a pace that supply will be able to keep up with. Also, estimates for this unfolding "increasingly rapidly" is pure speculation at the moment. The infrastructure isn't in societies across the world at the moment to support EVs. Be it charging stations, battery range, etc. These are real issues that haven't as yet been resolved. I'm not saying they won't be, but we are getting ahead of ourselves when we are making forecasts based on these issues being non-issues.
