    Sorry Warnie I agree with Milesg:) A proper warm up for any exercise should include moving the joints and activating the muscles through range of movement required for the particular activity. This has the effect of achieveing a gradual increase in heartrate and blood flow to the muscle groups being used. Stick to compound activities when warming up to prepare the body for resistance training.
    I conduct 2 sessions of PT 5 times a week being one of cardio then resistance training broken into am/pm cycles. On the weekend I can usually squeeze some type of recovery session being swimming/more cardio. One thing I have noticed is that it depends on which psysical training instructors you talk as to what opinions they have on warm ups and cool downs.

    Now all we need is a fitness forum to be added.....
