Ann: West Erregulla 2 Update, page-17

A group of us had an onsite tour & a geological lesson, which was second to none, from Tony Cortis & Stuart on Tuesday.

We were on site before we reached the Cattamarra & I can tell you it hit exactly what they were expecting in terms of oil shows and sand quality and depth.

The lesson from tony was unbelievable & I’m pretty sure no one that was there would disagree, he went into great detail explaining how the basin was formed & why the kingia/high cliff at West Erregulla is the same as waitsia. He also explained the 70% COS by saying the other 30% risk could be related to “fizz” or in other words a depleted reservoir. They believe however that it is very unlikely to be that because if the Dongara sands are charged above then the kinga/high cliff will be charged. They know the Dongara sands are charge from a well drilled in 1990 about 1 km away. So it should be reasonably important to see gas charge in those sands above the KHC for a strong chance of confirmation heading into the final formation below.
