Watch the range of all EV's double once battery production is large enough to support it... We can fit more batteries in practically any EV right now and make the range MUCH further than listed/sold on market currently(more batteries = more distance without advancement in efficiency or tech).
This bottleneck is what is stopping a lot of buyers flooding the EV market currently. The bottleneck isn't being lifted yet on purpose, as we do not have the battery production capability to support mass growth in EV sales.
Lithium is an essential component and it won;t be replaced by another material.
This is a multi billion dollar project in the making.
