Damaged Sydney apartment blocks, page-9

I bought a Sydney townhouse in 1998 off the plan that had building issues that lasted 5 years in court with the insurance company after the builder filed for bankruptcy.

The repair bill was 800k. The owners paid 250k in costs to get the insurance company to pay up.

I dont remember the government coming to my rescue or the people that couldn’t live in their townhouse because of poor quality construction.

Maybe now that the government is going to spend taxpayer money they might sort of some of the poor certification standards by companies.
