The simple fact of the matter is that he signed a 4 million dollar contract with the ARU which required him to abide by a professional players code of conduct expressly stating that he must treat everyone equally, fairly and with dignity regardless of gender or gender identity, sexualorientation, ethnicity, cultural or religious background, age or disability and that he must use Social Media appropriately, not as a means to breach any of the expectations and requirements asa player contained in the code.

As a heterosexual atheist who enjoys a few drinks now and then I'm a little more surprised that his devoted religious supporters have made little mention about his Instagram post misquoting the bible, nonetheless when raising funds to expand a church founded with your father publicity is a great marketing tool so why not run with the age old rhetoric of gay bashing. It's a shame to lose such a talented player from the game of RU but after repeated warnings I strongly suspect that he knew exactly what he was doing before submitting that post.
