Most holders of shares are holding because they also think it will not go on forever as well and as a speccie share it will rise when projects come on board and the company starts to generate some income (and hopefully a spectacular rise) - however as a speccie it may also go backwards and be pretty volitile in a volitile market
If you want some thing more predicible can I suggest you look at blue chip shares as let me tell you one thing Republic Gold is and that is unpredicible - I have visited the site and manager and have relatives that live in the area and frequent near by sites to some of the Republic tenements in FNQ. I would not say that JK is a close mate but would certainly say he is a nice guy and he has my respect.
I have spend hours and hours and days and weeks researching the company and reckon I have a pretty reasonable knowledge of RAU and its projects. Can I predict how its share price reacts to announcements and other market pressures - no way.
But as Master (Confucious)Sentia says have patience or jump - Republic has some potentially great tenements and a very solid management team and top quality staff and I reckon as a speccie it may turn spectacular - but I have not put my house on it and I do not whinge when it behaves in a volitile way and use its volitility as an opportunity.
Republic is just doing what speccie shares do - nothing more and nothing less. What Republic has got that many other do not is a following and many many people watching its every movement including a bucket load of day traders so when it goes it goes in a hurry
