I guess as they are already China’s biggest cathode and anode producer they may be simply looking for lithium.
The more cynical part of me thinks they may also be looking to block any way that AJM could supply to the competition (at competitive rates) and or local or overseas downstream processors (Posco/Pls from “over the fence).
