I've had my time of being in love, and out of it, as far as property is concerned. Often the pundits say buy in a good area - easy when you have the ability to buy where you want. Most of us don't have that luxury at the beginning.
Long term, despite my mistakes it has been a fantastic wealthbuilder and a forgiving one if you can hold and forget. Best thing you can use this commodity even if worthless - and thats priceless.
