is the world crazy by buying made in china, page-70

I am still having trouble believing some of what I am reading on a website devoted to making money. People, lets look at the road as it is.

I live in several countries: Aust, SE Asia (ok not a country), and the UK, and move around several times a year. The best country in the world is, if memory serves, Norway, based upon a body of stats. Aust is a nice place, but not perfect and not the be all and end of all.

China is not something to fear! Get real. Now it is an emerging capitalist society, democracy is slowly creeping in. This is the perfect recipe for peace and prosperity--where goods cross border troops do not. Do not think of China as one big country, it is composed of a billion consumers, each is an individual. I have to say, fearing China is an example of racism and ignorance.

The people in the 3rd world, speaking as someone who has spent some time visiting many countries, are desperate to industrialise and to copy the first world. They are in a cultural thrall to the west. They watch western (Hwood crappy) movies, and aspire to wear what G. Clooney is wearing.

If China or anyone else can supply $30 dvd players GREAT. Send more. It makes us richer, and it makes the Chinese richer. Keep it coming. Do you guys want to work in a factory assemblying dvd players, or tyres? I did not think so. Let robots or 3rd worlders do the job. We in the west are moving into a post-industrial world, we supply services, not hardware. I say great, bring it ON, and chill.

oh yes, here is one export, lets export P Hanson, an ignorant buffon, who harmed Australia's image in the world and did a measurable disservice to our export market.
