"You saying we should chuck bucks in, even when the knife is falling CK?
Should I buy property today (with debt)?
Your floor."
You should buy good assets when you have the funds to do so.
Particularly through super, which in essence gives you a 60% kick-start in year 1 (any longer term returns, in this tax advantaged vehicle is a bonus).
Don't bother timing. Super is a life-long thing. Let's say you like BHP. You buy a few now at $45. Price falls to $20. Don't start crying. You're still in the market. Your next lot of BHP shares will be bought for $20. If BHP do well long-term, you'll be fine.
Ultimately, you need to own things. Be it property, shares in businesses, whatever. That's what building wealth is.
Let's put it this way. Should I fill sorry for Warren Buffett because he is now worth $90 billion as compared to last year when he was worth $100 billion ? No, he is still rich. He is poorer relative to his own wealth, but that is no consolation to me. He still owns 10% of Coca-Cola, and I don't.
Just buy stuff for crissakes !!!!
