... lol, OMS - it's also the same with me - buying STX know for more than three years and can't stop it ...
For Kylie and perhaps some other STX newbies some more basics about Rayburn - lets start with the Rayburn map from my close friend BlueSeal:
This map shows the Rayburn acreage with all pipelines and gas transmission lines and the location of all known drilling locations/ Rayburn wells.
The Wilcox sands are the drilling targets for this deep drilling campaign - there where a lot of shallower drillings in the past in this area, operated by Apache and others, but the deep Wilcox sands are targets for the first time at this prospect.
They distinguish three different Wilcox targets: Uper Wilcox, Middle Wilcox and Lower Wilcox.
The success right know confirmed a very large structure with multiple pay zones between 11,500 and 16,000 feet. The Middle Wilcox is the zone between 11,000 and 13,000 feet and is confirmed of high quality.
what we have so far is:
Duncan #1: 10 mmcfd of gas and 260 bblcd condensate
Duncan #2: 10 mmcfd and 240 bblcd
Gilbert-Freeman #1: 4 mmcfd 150 bblcd
Duncan #3: production test commenced
Gilbert-Freeman #2: awaiting production test
Gilbert-Freeman #3: drilling results next week
Hlavinka-Duncan #1: P&A
The next two wells are Duncan #4 and Hlavinka Gas Unit-1 #1. As you can see, these two wells are major step out well to test the extend of the "Middle Wilcox" pay zone from the southwest to the northeast of the acreage - the diagonal distance from D4 to HGU1 is about 6km ...
I think they have a two step ressource assessment strategy:
1. The initial resource certification will most likely based on the production history of D1, D2 and GF1, the flowrates of D3 and GF2 and the results of the wireline logs of GF3 and the 3d seimics (of course its a guess, but I think all this data will be used in a initial ressource modeling).
2. After the initial results from the current wells, they would be able to expand the figures dramaticaly, if D4 and HGU1 comes in at the Middle Wilcox.
This is the reason why I'll pray for this two wells ...
The great success for STX at Rayburn coupled with the following development makes STX a winner pick - Hybrid Energy is imho just the cherry on the long term cake ...
cheers Strikers
