Virotec announced back in 2002 re the strategic alliance with IETS that fall through..

"IETS advises Virotec that the Chinese Government are serious about cleaning the Dianchi Lake and that Chinese government agencies have budgeted a further US$1.9 billion for its remediation. Previous expensive treatments have proved to be unsuccessful..."

"The Dianchi Lake in Kunming, Yunnan, China is approximately 300 square kilometers in size and is suffering from the effects of pollution from sewerage and industrial effluents and intensive horticulture. IETS specializes in environmental business, particularly in the cleaning up of lakes, rivers and waterways in China."

"Dianchi lake basin ... is not only the biggest drinking water source for the city .. is so important to the local economy that without it, Kunming could not have developed to its present economic level."

The area of Dianchi Lake is shrinking annually and water pollution problems in the lake are increasingly serious. In summer and autumn, 84% of the lake surface is covered with algae .. poor quality of tap water has evoked very strong public response in the surrounding urban areas."

"The overall objective of this project is to suggest management measures and suitable technical and engineering measures for the control of eutrophication and for the water reclamation in Dianchi Lake and to construct the related demonstration project."

It's recommendations are exactly what IETS - IMH will be doing, ie, "controlling non-point pollution sources in Dianchi Lake".
