After trying to negotiate a number of Chinese stories I’m not certain if either of the NSS plants - in Baotou Mongolia or the one in Changsha in south central Hunan are finished or able to have processed the Lionergy spodumene.

In Baotou there IS a Shanshan plant has been fully operational Since August 2017.... producing ‘negative polar materials ‘

Work on a project to produce anode material for lithium ion batteries has begun in Jiuyuan district, Baotou, in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a Baotou Daily report.

On completion the project, which is funded by Inner Mongolia Shanshan Technology Co with an investment of 3.8 billion yuan ($554 million), will produce 100,000 tons of lithium ion battery anode material annually.

The project involves building anode materials production lines including processing of coke raw materials, natural graphite, low temperature modification, carbonization, graphitization, finished product processing, testing, packaging and storage.

For the graphitization process, a base with an annual output of 50,000 tons will be located in Jiuyuan Industrial Park. It will require investment of 1.2 billion yuan and cover 23.3 hectares.

After being put into production, it is estimated that annual profit and tax revenue will reach 90 million yuan.



Meanwhile in Changsha in Hunan:

Then, also in Changsha :

Then I found another story saying the 2016 quality issue between Tianqi and Ningbo Shanshan was ‘just a spat”

I don’t consider issues worth $11.5 million to be a “spat”.
And I don’t know the difference between a cathode and an anode or what Shanshan has built, is building or will build .
I do know that in Hohhot they eat whole sheep and the winter temperatures in Mongolia rarely fall below 13.3 degrees Celsius.

But this exercise has proved people should DTOR.
