you could add that if FAR win PE and sell their 35-48.5% to the same bidder as Cairn, then that bidder will walk away with the whole prize, and FAR and Cairn would have done their job and created significant shareholder value through exploration.
WPL could have bought holdings from Cairn and FAR by now but hasn't. I wonder why? The answer seems obvious because they both know that their value is significantly higher post PE. And WPL knows they can't buy either until PE is sorted. Its clear why FAR has held their ground, but I think its also significant that Cairn hasn't sold any portion of SNE yet to WPL or any other bidder to date.
If and when FAR win PE, then the dominos will start to fall and any number of players could buy operatorship and control by buying FAR and a % of Cairn.
Everyone is waiting now. We may see better SP action than in a pre spud. It certainly has started to look that way.
