Following your post, and adding to my previous timeline, this shows where early influences on YBY can have originated from:

    26th May 1983:
YBY is born, Chinese-Malay parents. Attends Primary and Secondary Chinese school.

2007-2011: Spends better part of this period overseas, perhaps reading primarily Chinese newspapers/online content (speculation).

Late 2011: Returns to Malaysia after overseas work/studies. Starts social media marketing business – DAP is a client.

Feb. 2012: Starts volunteering for DAP, a predominantly‘Chinese’ party, where Wong Tack can be found.

27th Aug. 2012: YBY joins DAP as full time member

Nov. 2012: YBY posts her first negative views of Lynas

There is also a far more complex and recent source for her bias: palm oil. YBY grew up on her parents palm oil estate, which in her early years was bought by IOI (yes, her future father in-law). The later union of YBY and the IOI empire was very sudden (conspiracy chapter 2):

24th December 2018: First report of ‘special man’ in YBYs life

3rd January 2019: Mr Lee proposes to YBY

    11th March 2019: marriage registered

IMO, here it is important to know that China is the most important overseas partner for Malaysian palm oil industry (which is 6-10% of Malaysian GDP), importing multi $B worth of liquid rainforest depleting grease. In true tit-for-tat, China wants stuff back, including Malaysia facilitating for Chinese businesses in Malaysia (which includes importation of fertilisers). Brokering many of these deals is the Ambassador for China in Malaysia, Bai Tian and his influence shouldn't be underestimated.

1stJune 2019: IOI founder Lee ShinCheng, YBYs father in-law, passes away.

6thJune 2019: Funeral of Lee Shin Cheng, Bai Tian present

Bai Tian clearly had some connection to YBYs late father in-law, no doubt brokering palm oil deals with China. How does YBY fit in to this? It is a complex equation, but Bai Tian is 'the man' to deal with Chinese interests in Malaysia, including industrial interests (read REE industry). How difficult would it be to see Bai Tian and YBY discuss tit-for-tat.. specially now after the very sudden marriage into palm oil?

BT: "We have growing concerns for certain competition... but I hope we can continue working together and import (your hubbies) palm oil" (speculation)

Could YBY even just be a puppet rather than master?
