just a comment on generously given suggestions - incrediblecharts May be free but is Windows application. I have just spent 3 hours downloading something called parallel and windows 10. (both of which require payment after trial period) and then tried again to download incredible charts but only received error message. so not successful so far. will keep trying.
any suggestions for Mac friendly charting software suitable for novices? don't mind paying if reasonable

I can only handle so much education online - would really like to have a real person to learn with
