White soups made from vegetables, like Celeriac Soup, Cream of celery soup, Cauliflower Soup, etc. make an excellent sauce for plain steamed vegetables, particularly if you want to sprinkle grated cheese or parmesan on the top.
Also, vegetarians get the protein which would make them happy. I am a lazy cook so like having 2 ltrs of soup on hand in the freezer. I do think though that 380-400 mlts is a good size bowl of soup, because a single cup of 250 mlts is too small a serve for a main meal.
Serve with a fresh garden salad afterwards or accompany soup with bread of some sort, maybe garlic bread?
