    Clearly the reality of the situation some people are in right now has not sunk in for you.

    Yes there are many options people should look at before bailing out, such as taking in a boarder, getting a second job, cutting back on their budget

    BUT

    What you clearly are failing to understand there are people in mortgage stress that have either or are close to exhausting all viable options.

    These are the people Bouris is referring to, these are the people who he is saying lenders should be providing tools to to help these people properly work out the position they are in and where they are headed.

    and those that are right on or close to the edge with all options exhausted are the ones who should look at getting out before they are thrown out.

    Either way they are unfortunately going to lose their home regardless if they sell it or the bank seels it for them, the more they can control that loss the more chance they have got of rebuilding at a latter date.
