I received a reply from Ian regarding the future plans for Mt Mulligan and the possibility of the resource containing coking coal.

"Thanks for your email and sorry for delayed response. The steps at Mt Mulligan are as follows:

1. Gain an access agreement with the Traditional Owners and then finalise DME and EPA access approvals to the site
2. Undertake detailed desktop study of all historical data relating to the site & target exploration activities
3. Agree with Traditional Owners an approach to survey the site for cultural heritage sites and allow accelerated exploration
4. Exploration will include ultimately drilling laterally & channel sampling etc could also be done
5. At that stage we would be in a position to do some modern coal quality tests, including washability and thermal / Met coal splits
6. Our first main focus will also be to test for coal seam gas content due to its low impact as relates minability, infrastructure costs and upgrade ability to pipeline gas and or electricity and with very low carbon emissions

We will let the modern science lead us as relates what the resource consists of e.g. Coal seam gas, thermal coal or Metallurgical coal."

This shows they intend to expedite the CSM program which we knew but also do work on finding out if this resource could be used for coking. Great future for MNM :)
