I recall he spent about 65k, i think such a small parcel had the opposite effect of instilling confidence in the stock.
As other posters have pointed out here, he has his fingers in many pies, he gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars pa, he needs to get rid of the" Red flags" to all and sundry. One or two loyal posters here waving the NF banner will not convince or change the market sentiment about AVZ.
As Ericson says, NF buying stock doesn't guarantee success, but its a Start, however the CEO not buying stock waves some substantial red flags for potential new investors and probably existing investors especially inlight of ML appearing to be selling down or out.
I doubt very much that ML needs the dough to redeploy elsewhere.
NF needs to start addressing these issues NOW in my view.
