I think you missed the point. Large scale Iraqi oil production is years away, even if the contracts were signed yesterday. Most of the old plants are inoperable if they weren't damaged by wars. And when production does eventually commence insurgents will continuously attack oil pipelines and plants most of which are just held together by stickytape.
