Had a closer look at this one. Looks like this handout goes back a previous government or two, but the current government doesn't want to rock the boat because Kerry Stokes is behind it - and he owns media.

So now we have the government encouraging new brown coal plants, coal to liquids fuel, looking at excluding agriculture, petrol, mining and smelting from an emissions trading scheme. Sort of makes you wonder where the emissions cuts could ever come from. I'll be stuffed if I turn the lights off when I leave the room from now on.
