Twilight Zone stuff again
Some interesting geology relative to different parts NEAR to Pedirka Basin - if we go NW (Tanami Deserts) and NE(Mt Isa) of Alice Springs remains appear IGNEOUS (volcanic and granitic) so mainly MINERALS METALS are discovered. Alice Springs area turns Sedimentary hence OIL and gas discoveries are more likely. Amadeus is part thereof.
East of Alice springs the QLD NT border and into Western QLD although also very unexplored it appears many discoveries of Coal, Oil and Gas fields will be revealled in the next 20 years as the world continues to burn up energy and demand new supplies.
Most of these areas still vastely unexplored.

Moomba regions to the SE of Alice (600Km away) is a classic oil region. Probably only the most explored region is only within 50 km around Moomba with a few wild cats attempted beyond this area.
So finally back to Pedirka Basin -what other indicators for good Oil and Gas events amongst here in this region.

One interesting feature on a massive scale is that if we are to look at Saudi Arabian-Iran -Iraq Mega oil fields they appear to be complemented by land masses splitting and drifting apart( with subsidence sinking).
Fortunate for the Saudis the oil appears to have become trapped in MEGA structures and hence - well we know the rest.
So what does this have to do with Oz land-
strange but closer studies of a map of Australia reveals a huge line of subsidence (sinking)almost running from the Gulf of Carpanteria down to Adelaide. WOW -one mega, mega Fault. Much too big to think about it on a its 3000km scale but strangly selective areas along this line appear to be revealling excellent energy traps and related discoveries.

We should expect many more fascinating discoveries from these very unexplored area in the next 20 years or so.
But finally a mystery WHY there is a mega subsidence(sinking) again in the area of Moomba up to Alice Springs. Perhaps parts of mega ancient movements and perhaps doing similar things to what happened in the Saudi Arabia region.
