Well after many years I'm out.
I got into PEN in the days of the Mega tonne for Mega Joules deal believing that a US based Uranium producer would be a lay down mazaire. How wrong can I be? I've seen PEN go from an explorer to a producer and find it unbelievable that as an explorer with no production the share price was higher (relatively ) than it is now. I've ridden through all time low to all time low. I wonder what would have been if it wasn't for Fukashima?
Gus Simpson thanks for getting PEN to where you did! With 20/20 hindsight you were pushing __it up hill the whole time.
So my lesson that I'd like to share is that no matter how much research you do, no matter who is in control of the company, and no matter what your company does, you cant beat Macro economic factors (for want of a better description).
This has been my worst performing share ever!!! That's really bad considering that I've held both NWT & Sundance Resources!!!!!!!!! Managed to trade SDL to profit and cut my losses on NWT, but always believed in PEN, therefore always keeping it as a long term investment. Well the term is up and the loss realized, the good news is my PEN holdings will buy me funding an Aperol Spritz or two on the Amalfi coast and maybe I can stretch out whats left to buy a nice warm (URGH!!!) beer at Lords for the Ashes. (That's me bragging!)
Thanks to the Uranium Boffins on this site, your incite has been helpful and I've gained greater understanding of the mining process (even though PEN couldn't get it right)
So what PEN has really taught me is that if you are expecting something that doesn't happen get out!!! You'll probably be able to buy back in cheaper, even if you are realizing a loss.
Good luck to all holders. I still believe in PEN, I still believe that it will come good. However Europe beckons.
