Really the answer to Col 1:16 is wrapped up in the part post of mine you quoted.

Now I corrected this error before that you posted in 1:16 --> "It is NOT by means of him" but --> because in him were created the things all things.......
This "other" addition (nonsense) you have in 1:16, I think is a JW addition and certainly not supported via the Greek.

Now if you take on board this IN him, we know full well they were not literally created IN him.
So the context of IN him IMO fits, aligns with the true Greek meanings coupled with the word through;
Through = DIA --> through, on account of, because of, by reason of, for the sake of.

We know for certainty from the OT, numerous verses showing that God and God alone in some, created ALL things.
So when we look at the over all theme of the meanings of through here, it fits in with perfection to --> God did all this, creation etc alone with the future Jesus in mind.
Most of us, before we even have kids, make plans, employment etc etc, with future kids in mind etc, hence (lol) where following the image of God (trying to).


Another point to grasp in this Col 1:15 --> the context of the "image" word here = Jesus was not born in this image of God, this only happened, fullness so to speak at Baptism timing.
As promise to Moses Deu 18:18 God would raise them up a Prophet --> 20 plus years of leading, raising etc and then Jesus was given the Spirit without measure.
God's words are also Spirit, hence Jesus receive the Spirit/Word = God without measure --> Fullness of the Godhead = God dwelling in him, hence Jesus is also referred to as the Express image.
Jesus speaks = expressing out the Spirit/Word = Almighty God and Father being expressed, express image = John 14:10 OR John 1:14, God dwelling in the Tabernacle, Temple = Jesus.

If he pre-existed, he would have been the express image back there.

I reckon this build will take 10 years off my life if it keeps going like this lol.
