It’s also worth noting that electricity transmission is less efficient when ambient temps are high. That’s why Kidston is so cool - during the hot part of the day the transmission to pump water up hill is a relatively short run and when things are cooler, and the grid is demanding peak power, sending out via transmission lines gets more electricity into the socket.
