SSenator Pauline Hanson has slammed “Welcome to Country” ceremonies at regional airports and rejected the need for recognition of indigenous Australians in the Constitution.“I actually flew into Rockhampton today and into Townsville and prior to my landing they actually put across that we must acknowledge the Aboriginals as the traditional land owners of this land and it is basically Welcome to Country,” Senator Hanson said.“I was gobsmacked, absolutely gobsmacked,” Senator Hanson told 2GB.

“(Indigenous Australians) have been pushing for recognition in the preamble of the Constitution for being recognised as the traditional owners of the land … and I have been warning people since then do not fall for it,” Senator Hanson said.Senator Hanson claimed the push for recognition was antiquated.“They are actually causing divisions. We are all Australians together I don’t care if you are indigenous or if you were born here or if you are actually a migrant, we are not 200 years in the past we are now in the future, we are in the future generation,” Senator Hanson said.Senator Hanson’s criticism of Welcome to Country comes days after a member of the audience at a performance at the Sydney Opera House booed the Welcome to Country ceremony. The audience member was widely criticised on Twitter for “appalling” and disrespectful behaviour.

Yet again - just as on every other subject from the need for a Banking Royal Commission to the ruination of mass non - Western immigration - Pauline Hanson is correct.

Yet again, Pauline speaks with the voice of common sense and speaks for Mainstream Australia.

Welcome to Country is a con job.

Welcome to Country is not even an Aboriginal tradition in Australia. Indigenous activists copied it from the practice of certain native tribes of Canada.

Wherever it comes from, it is an infliction which has no place in public places or indeed on public airlines in Australia. Pauline Hanson is correct.

The Crown is the ultimate holder and vester of title in Australia and not Aborigines.

Welcome to Country is a Scam and should be abolished everywhere in Australia - from all institutions and all ceremonies - except if Aborigines so wish it where there is extant native title.
