Flurry - what consideration did 'bill gates' give you for your $1000?. If it was a gift you get nothing, if it was a loan, you are entitled to seek your $1000 back with reasonable interest. However, if it was to finance his software development and it was provided on that basis you may be entitled to some equity in his venture and if he took it from your wallet and gave you no consideration what would you be seeking.
