The current labor government has a lot to learn, mate:

1. The naively believe computers can teach our kids without software, networking, training and support;

2. Want Australian to use more renewable energy, such as solar panel? OK, lets only rebate poor people who earn less $100k. They don't know 80% people who installed or want to install solar system earn $100k+

3. Poor people don't have penalty without health insurance now. How about our third-world class and over-crowed public health system?

4. They want to invest in China, but don't want China to invest in Australia. Guess what? What is the biggest resource in China? The cheap labor. If China want to keep it to themselves, and refuse Aussies to invest factory in China, and just buy cloths, shoes, TV, at the same cost produced locally, you won't have a boom China right now, so there is no resource boom in Australia. Get real!

Overall, it give me some impression that the current Labor Government want to do something nice and big, but eventually just achieve the opposite.

The seriously lack of experience tells it all! I hope they won't do any more stupxd things, get nuclear. So we can enjoy our lifestyle without cause much damage on environment.
