we are digging up formerly sequestered CO2, coal, oil etc and burning it and it goes into the atmosphere. We are therefore adding to natural fluctuations of CO2 from volcanoes etc. We've got less trees and plants to asbsorb carbon and spit out oxygen so we are also driving the changing level of CO2 in the atmosphere.
I'm not gonna pretend I'm a scientician and comment on the models of climate change and its consequences but there is at least anthropogenic changes to CO2 in the atmosphere.
