If you're talking the sort of timeframes that influence your kids inheritance then i think lithium is a great investment. There is only a handfull of technologies that are disruptive to the lithium battery, but like lithium, all of them have their pitfalls. And certainly Lithium will be first to market in automotive applications, and unlikely to be challenged in portable electronics applications.
As for ADY, their lithium technology is impressive, their iron ore handling less so, you'll have to make up your own mind. Keep in mind that ADY has a significant potassium resource too. Check out the broker reports on their website.
ADY have roughly 1 billion shares on issue.
