My experience tells me that all value created since IPO will be off the back of cuts and acquisitions and nothing to do with growth. Wouldn't be surprised to see nearly no growth in customers or revenue when the reports come out.
But what about Bowen buying on market? I doubt he was looking for short term profits. I am feeling OK about the 3-5 year prospects of the company and see $2-3 on the horizon over the next 3-5 years. I'd be surprised if UWL saw anything north of $1.50 again in 2019 though (and I think sub $1.00 is likely before September).
Having spoken to some of the early private investors, UWL seems to have been haemorrhaging money and on the brink of insolvency until new management took over. Getting cash flows to a sustainable level would have been top priority. That means cuts and a stall in growth in the short term, but sets the company up for good long term growth.
