You think there might be some sort of correlation between the length of the spike with the time of day and whether there is any news results present? Would be interesting to know the average length of spike on certain pairs for quiet days. What i have noticed though is that spikes tend to occur more often during the first minute or two each time 5mins ticks over. Code that :P
