Companies are always "forced" to raise capital at the bottom. They need to raise.

Very few pre-empt in times of certainty.

WPL did recently when they didn't actually need the money straight away and it was a smart move.

STO hit shareholders up above and beyond but they took their medicine, SP bottomed and turned the business around.

ORG said a couple years no need to raise then they hit the market a few months later with a raising. When their then CEO went onto be on the board of BHP he got bumped because he had trashed ORG.


Otherwise they wouldn't need to raise.
If/when AMP needs to raise then we'll see who steps up and at what price.

That will generally indicate a bottom and if not you'll be able to see it from there.
