Perhaps you simply need to revise your specific approach in going "Long mining stocks", given this is your "specialty"?
I have seen plenty of valuations offered by you, typically with negative bias to current discussion and very typically adopting an aggressive stance towards the views of others offering alternative value measures to the same scenarios...frankly, I do not think I have seen what I would call a comprehensive and balanced approach from you in this regard.
You use NPV's on explorers, or PE's on in ground assets...and even apply DCF's for potential discoveries...none of these make sense.
I see rigid accounting measure applied to the inherently vague world of the unkown assets vales of explorers.
I mention this, not to attract an argument, but to highlight for you an area of your market measure perhaps not entirely refined...as evidenced perhaps by you posts on this very thread?
So...with respect..rather than throw a tantrum, perhaps a reassessment of one's selection process would be time well spent?
Every day on the market is a learning day and of late many lessons have been dished out!
I suspect many are fighting that which is clearly trying to show tham the way?
As retail traders/invesors...one of our greatest tools is the collective brain bank available here at HC, yet sadly so many seem intent on destroying any such value for the sake of immediate gratification, self worship and selfish gains.
It is a sad reality that many who have made a career from farming the HC threads (to enhance their returns), are now facing the demise of the very thing that has been facilitating said profits...at their own hands no less.
Of course I am talking about the demise of HC as a research tool, at the expense of a short-term, last man standing, greedy grab for cash from each other posters, who flood the threads with non-factual filler...and in the process, kill of any genuine content that may filter trough.
As a collective, and via exercising discipline, we have real power...both in terms of informationsharing and indeed in collective education...individually however, we are little more than a rabble fighting over the crumbs sent down from above.
It is a brave new world we have entered...one where previous measure no longer applies...and one where the word "quality" is pretty much all that matters.
Quality companies...quality assets...quality management...quality shareholders...quality sector...and last but not least, quality posters.
No room for crap any more...seriously...but sadly I can still see many on here simply fading away, taking their expert opinions and ego-centric "offerings" in their wake.
We can help each other to survive...but sadly most choose to do anything but.
Stick it out DBK...come out fighting with genuine effort (no crap)...and you should do just fine!
