Morrison is wrong. Islam is not a religion it is a political movement.
I think most religions have a political component. You only have to look at the polis of Canberra, the public service and the Oz Liberal/Labor Parties, since the 80's to see how quickly a"devout" religion has displaced the strain that was supposed to be entrenched at colonisation and federation.
One thing you can be pretty sure of, is any country that is under the yoke of "submission to God" (i.e. e.g. Islam) is going to have a large proportion of the population enslaved in poverty and generational despair. I'm guessing sons and daughters of asylum seekers and migrants will only identify with the romantic side of their genetic inheritance and never know what it is like to live subjugated to a perpetually dour existence ..... these are the naive ones who will potentially send us back to the stone age in the future IMO..
