There's good opportunity for Fluence here in Oz. With potable water supply availability across the MDB in major and rapid decline, communities across the basin are facing absolute challenges in keeping their taps on. In fact the existence of many of these communities is under direct threat.The NSW Government has intervened and is supplying desal units to Walgett and Bourke (each with populations of around 2000) for their emergency ground water supplies. There are also farmers in these areas who have installed desal units for their domestic supplies. Where the groundwater contains too much sodium even for stock supplies, they also have turned to desal.
